Email Spoofing

Is that last email you received authentic or an attempt to obtain info fraudulently?

Recently, scammers emailed thousands of PayPal customers telling them they had received money. The email looked exactly like a PayPal notice and even displayed a link back to the PayPal security information page.

Large institutions are not the only victims of this kind of email spoofing. Small businesses are also being targeted. Last week, the Federal Trade Commission released security guidelines for small businesses.
